Be Alert for Fraudulent Letters

Verify I-9 LLC is your primary contact for E-Verify employment verification services. We communicate with you primarily through email from an “@verifyi9.com” or “@verifyi9-support.com” email address, through our Twitter or Facebook pages, or the Live Chat/Helpdesk feature at our site.

If we receive notice that your email address is no longer valid, we may send a fax to the number that we have on file or call you.

Only in extremely rare instances would we mail a letter regarding an employee’s case status. Accordingly, if you receive an E-Verify letter allegedly from Verify I-9, LLC, please call us immediately at 888-933-8374 to confirm its authenticity.

You should not receive any correspondence related to employment status directly from E-Verify. If you receive a letter allegedly from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security or Social Security Administration, please either call E-Verify Customer Support at 1-888-464-4218 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time (excluding federal holidays), or email E-Verify@dhs.gov. Customer Support will help you determine whether or not the letter is legitimate. Until you confirm the letter’s authenticity with E-Verify, do not make any employment decision based on its content.
